    • FTA is looking to recruit a Test Engineer to review requirements and specifications and define manual/automation test conditions. They will design test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes. They will analyse and report test activities and results. They will Identify, and report issues and risks associated with own work.

      The Test Engineer will work closely with the Software Developers and other testers in small scrum teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Specific duties will include creating, maintaining and executing manual and automation test plans and test cases. The Test Engineer will also analyse and communicate test results, track defects and work with the Product Owners and business users in day to day QA activities.

    • FTA are recruiting for a Policy Manager - Multi Modal, the role will be working with FTA’s Head of Multi Modal to help deliver FTA’s policy agenda on Rail, Water and Air freight issues to ensure the interests of members working in these areas are protected and benefited. This involves influencing and understanding a wide range of regulatory and policy issues including planning, charging, environmental limits and Brexit.

      To support the evolution of the FTA member offer in the Rail, Water and Air freight areas as part of FTA’s broader Multi Modal strategy. These will require gaining insight into the key concerns and needs of logistics companies working in these modes and working closely with FTA membership and commercial teams to ensure our membership offer is up to date and compelling.

      To closely engage with members via regular meetings, webinars and bilateral discussions to develop policy positions, and then communicating this to a verity of external audiences such as civil servants, politicians, the media and other stakeholders

      To produce a variety of high quality briefing products for a variety of audiences (members, external and internal) including e-news, FTA magazine articles, meeting papers and webinars.

      To play a proactive role in internal communications and engagement with colleagues across FTA to ensure Policy is playing a leadership role in developing and delivering the broader Multi Modal strategy.

      To support Policy colleagues (UK and International), providing expert support for their engagement with multi-modal issues in their region / country.

      This role will ideally be within a commutable distance to Tunbridge Wells and London, but will not be required to be based at these locations.
